PRIVACY

The short version

StatScreen has no accounts, no tracking and no ads. Everything you type and every photo you use stays in your browser. The only thing our server stores is your ID number.

What stays on your device

Your profile details, stats, avatar and the pixelated version of any photo are saved in your browser's local storage so you can come back later. Uploaded photos are pixelated on your device and never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data or pressing Reset removes them.

Your ID number and recovery code are also kept in local storage.

What our server stores

On your first download we save one row with:

  • your ID number,
  • a one-way hash of your recovery code (not the code itself),
  • a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself), used only to limit new IDs to 5 per hour,
  • the time it was created.

Nothing in that row says who you are: no name, handle, email or banner content. Hashes are salted, so they can't be matched against other services.

Your X account

StatScreen never connects to X. There is no login and no X API; you type your details in yourself and upload the banner to X on your own.

Hosting

The site runs on Vercel and the ID table on Supabase. Like any web host, they may keep short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect their service.
